Old Forgotten Trails (Bob Nolan)
Old forgotten trails I still remember from the past. I hear the voices of the pals that we once knew. Old forgotten trails, I hear them calling - for they pass. Forget them not, old trails, for they remember you.
Though their footprints lead in silence somewhere, You alone know where to find them somewhere. Someday I know I’ll go where you go - Somewhere I’ll meet them there and we will ride together Old forgotten trails.
This Bob Nolan piece, registered for copyright in 1945, was recorded once and included in the Thesaurus radio transcriptions. As with Remember Me, this was a song Bob particularly loved and hoped would catch on with the public. Robert Wagoner recorded the song in 2003 and included it on his CD "Call of the Far Away Hills" which is still available.
