Crossroads
Many of Bob Nolan's published songs have remained "lost" to his family. In May, 2009, Barton Clark donated his copy of "Crossroads" to the Bob Nolan collection and it will be archived in the Southern Folklife Collection at the University of North Carolina. We are very grateful to Mr. Clark for his generosity. When we received the sheet music, we scanned and sent it to Dave Bourne who quickly made this demo for us. Mr. Bourne is an enthusiastic Nolan fan and has made many demos for us of Bob Nolan's unrecorded music. We are grateful to him for his talent and unqualified support.
I've been waiting at the crossroads Far beyond the seven seas Longing and yearning for someone Somewhere to anchor my heart. Crossroads never meet again, dear. That's the story that they always tell But I found the lost road home That meets the crossroads home And you were waiting there.
