Calin, just a quick note of thanks and congratulations for your efforts in producing such a great site for Bob Nolan. It is loaded with information, photos, videos. One of the best I've seen ! The info on 'Tumbling Tumbleweeds' was especially interesting. Noting that Bob was not educated in all of the tado's and tadum's of writing poetry and the fact that his original version was written while he was still in high school backs up what I've always believed-------------poets are born, not made. In my cowboy poem, 'Treasure Hunt' which touches on where inspiration for great poems, songs, art, etc, comes from, the last verses describe your grandfather's work:
"So let's thank the strugglin' poet Who writes verses and don't know it When he touches people by the words That surely come from God
For they reach down through the ages Touching lives through written pages Lets us see there's been some meaning .....In the long, hard road we've trod "
