Send Him Home to Me (Bob Nolan)
The moon made a silver trail far o’er the sea. There, on the shore, a maid waits patiently. She sighs to a star that shines from afar, “Send him home to me."
"He roams far o’er the sea In some forgotten land. Someday, he’ll come to me And take me by the hand. Each night I’ll pray to heaven That safe he’ll always be. So, watch over my love and Send him home to me.”
Then out of the night the dawn came shining through. The sun sent a welcome smile down from the blue. And all through the day the waves seemed to say, “I’ll send him home to you.”
"He roams far o’er the sea In some forgotten land. Someday, he’ll come to me And take me by the hand. Each night I’ll pray to heaven That safe he’ll always be. So, watch over my love and Send him home to me.”
