This album, produced by Cary Mansfield and Laurence Zwisohn, highlights the best known of Stephen Foster's songs which the Sons of the Pioneers included in their repertoire. Many of these tracks are solos by Bob Nolan and the press renamed him "The Stephen Foster of the West". The liner notes include an essay by Mr. Zwisohn linking Foster's songs with the Sons of the Pioneers.
