"Rex Allen was a close friend of all the members of the Sons of the Pioneers. This album consists of songs recorded by Rex Allen and the Sons of the Pioneers for the U. S. Navy Dept. in the mid-1950s. Lloyd Perryman was the leader of the Pioneers and was the spokesman and MC for the group. Whenever Rex and the Pioneers got together they had fun. Rex enjoyed every minute with the Pioneers either rehearsing or performing. There was great respect between all." (Fred Goodwin from the liner notes.)
